Healthy Living - It's the Lifestyle on Vancouver Island
Vancouver Island is truly a magnificent place. In no town or city on the island do you feel the claustrophobia and lack of privacy that is common in larger cities. Some are concerned that by choosing to live on an island you are isolating yourself from the rest of society and limiting your family from all the benefits of living on the mainland. This is incorrect.
People can travel easily to and from the island by ferry or airplane any time or day of the year. On the island you will also find the same amenities as any other large city or town in Canada. Much to some people's disbelief a person can still go to the theatre to watch the opera or buy tickets to watch a concert at the arena. Vancouver Island even operates all the same fast food restaurants and coffee shops you would find in downtown Vancouver.
So honestly, why would any person choose to live in an overpopulated city or town on the mainland when they could live on Vancouver Island, a place with similar facilities, services and so much more. The island not only offers an individual or family everything they need to live a comfortable lifestyle, but it also gives people an opportunity to live a little closer to mother nature.
Surrounded by the pristine waters of the Pacific Ocean and home to countless numbers of freshwater lakes, rivers and mountains, Vancouver Island is a place you can lose yourself in the array of activities nature has to offer. The island's beauty and outdoor opportunities encourage healthy living and make it easier for people to incorporate into their lifestyle. Who wants to watch TV on a Saturday, when instead they could go floating down the Cowichan River with friends or go hiking up Mount Finlayson for a picnic?
There is so much to see and do I would need to write a novel to illustrate all that Vancouver Island has to offer. To get an idea for yourself visit www.viadventures.net
This online adventure directory clearly shows that although it may be a small island there are still hundreds of places to visit and activities to participate in.
